Mercy, Fitness 4 All partner to offer comprehensive sports medicine program

August 8, 2016

As part of its 160-year mission to improve the health and overall well-being of the communities it serves, Mercy is pleased to announce a unique new partnership between its Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Program and Fitness 4 All, a local organization focused on taking athletes and teams to the next level by providing sport-specific strength training and conditioning services for every type of athlete.

Through this new collaboration, Mercy Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and Fitness 4 All will work together to help athletes, their teams and coaches from both an athletic, conditioning approach to an education approach on overall wellness and prevention.

For more than five years, Mercy Orthopedics and Sports Medicine physicians and athletic trainers have worked with injured athletes on rehabilitation from all types of sports injuries: ACL ruptures to concussions. Through its partnership with Fitness 4 All, Mercy will now be able to appropriately focus on the whole athlete and provide not only rehabilitation but also sports specific strength training and conditioning services that will allow athletes and teams to perform at the top of their game.

“Mercy and Fitness 4 All agree – a healthy team is a winning team.”

“We’re pleased to now be able to offer the most comprehensive approach to sports medicine in the market. Through this partnership we now provide a full continuum of services for all athletes, no matter their age or sport,” said Jason Theadore, vice president, ambulatory services and business development, Mercy. “When we asked our coaches and teams what more they needed from a sports medicine program, they resoundingly answered: strength training. We heard them and answered the need through this new partnership with Fitness 4 All.”

In addition to strength training and education, Mercy and Fitness 4 All will develop and coordinate youth training clinics as well as specific training sessions tailored to specific sports.

“Fitness 4 All and Mercy share a common mission and passion. As a athletic trainer and fitness leader for more than 25 years, I’ve trained thousands of athletes in transforming their lives and achieving their fitness goals. This partnership provides something that many Sports Medicine programs don’t offer: ensuring our athletes have a full continuum of care and opportunity,” said Keith Zoeller, founder and president, Fitness 4 All.
